Dual SIM Cell Phones
Cell phones or mobile phones have nowadays become a really important device for communication. They are the heralds of information and almost everyone knows how to use them as they can be contacted at any time no matter where you are. Besides, in order to keep pace with innovation and capitalism, cell phone vendors are constantly developing newer and better phones to satisfy the needs of the customers.
As the production of mobile phones has increased rapidly it led to them becoming more of a jack-of-all-trades device than just a simple device for communication. For a short period of time, sending SMS, listening to the radio, listening to downloaded music, taking, arranging, and storing digital pictures, checking your email, watching movies, surfing the Internet, playing games, have all become outstanding features of the mobile phone. However, cell phone manufacturers have upgraded them even more via the development of a phone housing two SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) cards at the same time.
In simple words, a dual SIM service is a feature that allows a phone to use two numbers from two SIMs at the same time in the same handset or, at the very least, enable switching from one SIM to another. The latter dual SIM type (the one where you can switch SIMs) is what flooded the markets during the middle parts of the decade via the use of dual SIM adapters that could connect two SIMs together and were small enough to fit behind your cell phone’s battery. It was a decent and practical feature, but of course, as the technology advanced, the consumers finally ended up with the dual SIM cell phone
A dual card adapter and a dual SIM mobile phone differ in two things: the number of transceivers of a given phone, and the possibility to activate and use two numbers simultaneously on the same phone. If you have the dual card adapter, all you can do is switch from one number to the other, so you need to restart constantly in order to be able to use a certain number at a certain time. However, with an actual, twin transceiver dual SIM phone, two numbers can be used simultaneously without any fuss, restarts, and frustrations.
So, it is obvious that this particular innovation can be of great benefit for you. For example, if you went to visit some other country as a tourist, and you have just bought a new SIM for that area and you still want to make use of your stateside SIM, a dual SIM would be very useful in that situation. Besides, with only one phone you can make both business and private calls, so whatever kind of emergency you’ll get from both sides, you’ll always be ready to answer. Sounds great, isn’t it?
